IAFT offers short-term workshops in a wide-range of acting competencies throughout the year. Its diverse curriculum ranges from voice and movement courses to musical theater and contemporary dance.*

Acting Residency This workshop is open to all levels of actors who want to train for performing onscreen. The class will review acting on camera in a number of styles. Students are directed by professionals and are required to have lab time to rehearse outside of class. The class will be using a camera and monitor set-up. USD 1,000 USD 600

Musical Theater As an introduction to the world of musical theater, this program focusing on acting, singing and dancing. This is the perfect class for the passionate aspiring musical theater actor. FILMMAKING WORKSHOPS
IAFT offers short-term workshops in a wide-range of film and media competencies throughout the year. Its diverse curriculum ranges from screenwriting, acting and directing courses to specialized classes in Final Cut Pro, photography and CGI.*
 
Workshop Description Fees International Resident
Production Make your own short film in just a few weeks! In this intensive three-week session, learn the basics of filmmaking: screenwriting, producing, directing, shooting and editing. You will work in small teams and realize their film concepts using IAFT’s state-of- the-art equipment and facilities. By the end of the session, you will have achieved your own non-synch-sound short film, as well as a group synch-sound project. USD 3,000 USD 1,900
Hi-def/Red Camera While learning cinema technology using the P2, the F900 and the new Red Camera and the difference between low-res and hi-definition shooting, you will also spend time comparing hi-def formats and learning the special functions for each camera. By the end of the workshop, you will cut together footage shot in class to create a mini-reel. USD 3,500 USD 2,200

16/35/Red Production This crash course teaches you the basics of shooting on film, the professional, and—digitally—the emerging standard in the film industry. Palawan Writing Be whisked away to the tropical paradise of Palawan, Philippines where the beauty Retreat of nature will become your muse. In this intense three-week course, you will learn the basics of screenwriting while work-shopping your ideas into marketable stories with the guidance of an industry mentor.
